GUITARS
BASS GUITARS

This hollow body model comes with a thin handcarved top and back and bended sides of solid wood. This type of guitar build follows a long-time tradition in crafting stringed instruments, ranging from violins to premium jazz guitars. The build boosts the chosen tonewood's resonation and distinctive sound character much more than a plywood construction - typically used in the guitar industry - could do. The hand-carved top of 22mm solid wood necessitates a neck angle of over six degrees which - in combination with a 14 degree headstock angle - strengthens the tension on bridge and nut and lets this instrument sing in a well balanced warm and clear way with a lot of sustain. I built two versions of the Ancestor Archtop Guitar, one with a smooth black, the other with a classic gold top finish. To preserve each instruments very own character, I equipped them with premium hardware and hand-wound humbucker pickups.
